WRITING ON THE BODY | Dance Workshop
Saturday 2nd March | 12 - 5pm | £25
How do we use bodies to tell stories when there are no more words? Choreographer Camille Jetzer and Iranian journalist Maryam Violet explore testimonies of female Iranian political prisoners. Come and be encouraged to physicalise responses to activist narratives, and explore how dance and movement can engage with other’s stories in a non-linguistic way.

DRAWING ON THE BODY | Life Drawing Workshop
Saturday 16th March | 1 - 5pm | £25
A guided figure drawing session exploring constructed personas and the processes of ‘dragging’. Drag queen Topsie Redfern and drag king Izzy Aman will transition between drag and their daily personas. Come with us behind the scenes and draw the process to explore the social rituals of femininity and masculinity. Basic art materials provided, but please feel free to bring your own.

AMIE TAYLOR: STORYTELLING FOR 3-7 YEAR OLDS | Escape from Dragon City

Amie Taylor is a storyteller and theatremaker, and makes performance for both children and grown ups. She is also the Editor of The LGBTQ Arts Review. This story, created in response to Lipstick: A Fairy Tale of Iran cultivates empathy, thinking about what it might feel like to flee your home. The interactive storytelling experience allows the children to take control, offering characters, scenarios and ideas.
